Our Story

One dreary day during COVID, Glo saw a new match on Bumble. She scrolled through what she thought was a European cyclist’s profile, but that was just Alex in his biking gear. After messaging about bikes, tattoos, and dogs, Glo beat Alex to the punch and asked him out for coffee.

Like the gentleman he is, Alex offered to come to Glo's neck of the woods from “Narnia” a.k.a. the Upper East Side. They met at Cafe Grumpy in Chelsea with Glo’s dog, Shakira. Alex asked Glo if she wanted anything, and she wanted tea, but realized she had forgotten her wallet, so responded, "I'm good, thanks." In his head, Alex thought, "She doesn’t want coffee on a coffee date? Weird. But she did bring her cute dog. Redeemed."

They walked over to Madison Square Park and talked for hours, only calling it because Alex had a dinner to get to. He got into a cab and as soon as the door shut, texted Glo that he had the best time and asked to see her again.

Two years later, they're getting married!
